Lunch & Learn - RQAP
The Quebec Parental Insurance Plan (QPIP) is a concrete way to reconcile work and family. It aims to provide financial support to parents of a newly born or adopted child, to encourage them in their desire to have children and to support them in their desire to devote more time to their children.
In September 2021, the QPIP was enhanced in order to contribute to the development of a greater number of people, particularly entrepreneurs and self-employed workers. This adjustment was requested by the JCCM following the publication of its white paper on women entrepreneurship and motherhood in 2020.

Our guest speakers
Ghislaine Gagnon
A lawyer by training, Ghislaine Gagnon has been a member of the Quebec Bar since 1988. She holds a Master's degree in law from Laval University. Since 2020, she has been working for the Conseil de gestion de l'assurance parentale. Previously, she was at the Direction des affaires juridiques of the Ministère du Travail, de l'Emploi et de la Solidarité sociale and was also employed by Québécor Inc. before joining the public service.
Marie-Josée Dutil
Marie-Josée Dutil holds a Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science from Laval University. She began her career in 2008 at the Commission administrative des régimes de retraite et d'assurances. She joined the Conseil de gestion de l'assurance parentale in 2014 as the person responsible for management indicators and statistics, in addition to assisting the Chief Actuary in the development of annual actuarial valuations.
