The JCCM welcomes a new Deputy General Manager!
It is with great pleasure that the entire JCCM team welcomes Victor Sanchez Lopez as Deputy General Manager, effective this Monday! This new arrival is an opportunity for us to introduce you to his rich and diverse background.
In 2010, Victor was the recipient of the Government of Quebec's grant for the internship program at the Washington Center where he was able to work with the North American Commission for Labor Cooperation in Washington. Subsequently, he held various positions with organizations such as LOJIQ - Les Offices jeunesse internationaux du Québec and the Ministry of Economy and Innovation. In recent years, Victor has been responsible for a number of major projects including the Quebec trade mission to the South by Southwest (SXSW) festival in 2019 and 2020. Involved in many organizations in Quebec, he also received the "Mobilisateur - milieu de travail" award offered by the Table régionale de concertation en immigration de la Capitale-Nationale in 2016.
This is not a first with the JCCM!
The JCCM is not new to Victor. Indeed, in 2017, he was responsible for the Grande rencontre de jeunes entrepreneurs du monde francophone, organized by LOJIQ in collaboration with the JCCM and the Secrétariat à la jeunesse, which welcomed 104 entrepreneurs from 20 francophone or francophile countries. But that's not all! Victor was also involved as a JCCM volunteer, notably on the XPress training committees and the mentoring program. He was also a member of the jury at the RJE Demo Day in May 2018.
"What could be better than being able to combine his interests and his work? Indeed, I sincerely believe in the importance of the JCCM's mission. Its training and networking activities have allowed me to grow and discover myself over the years. I wish to bring my experience to an organization that is close to my heart".
Moving from Volunteer Committee to Executive Director
"Thanks to my involvement, I was able to discover how the JCCM works and to establish links with other volunteers and work teams. With this experience, I believe I can contribute to the development of the organization with innovative ideas and a point of view that combines efficient management and the well-being of the participants".
How do you see the next year for the JCCM?
"The year 2020 will have been marked by many unforeseen events, but I believe that we will nevertheless be able to draw some positives from it. The JCCM is an organization that has been able to constantly reinvent itself and adapt quickly to change. I am convinced that the coming year will allow us to continue to innovate and offer services that meet the expectations of our members. Stay tuned!"
